Grow your own oyster mushrooms on logs! Please choose an oyster type from the list above.

Mushroom log kits are logs that we have inoculated with mycelium and taken care of until they are ready to fruit mushrooms. We only sell these logs when they have demonstrated their ability to produce! Spring is the best time to purchase a log kit, since you will have the entire season ahead of you to watch the kits fruit mushrooms, and to enjoy them. However you can purchase a kit anytime - even in the winter - when you should keep it in a sheltered cold place.

Which oyster is best? Here's a little about each:
Summer White: vanilla colored oyster type that thrives in summer temps!
Summer Gold: beautiful and delicate mushroom that is a quick grower.
Cool weather White: polar white color and velvety texture, with sudden heavy flushes in late fall!
Cool weather Gray: gray to blue color and more drawn-out fall flushes.

Log kits come with instructions. Please make sure to select an oyster variety above, unless you aren't sure; they're all good!
